12 Stats About Mirrored Tall Chest Of Drawers To Make You Look Smart Around The Water Cooler

Dining-room Redesign!

When you enjoy something in your house, do you tend to live with it untouched for a long period of time or do you tend to stroll past it every day while it fades into the background? Sort of like being at your Grandma's home where it feels like the very same furniture has been in the very same sport for your entire life? It's familiar; it's comfy.

I understand that feeling, only my comfortable friend remained in the type of a mirror that hung on the dining space wall – for about 9 years that's way too comfortable. I've traded out almost every piece of furnishings under it and around it other than for the table itself. Well, it was time to alter things up! It worked for a long time up until I got tired of not being able to take photos without having the reflection of myself or the kitchen area. So, out it went. Rather, I hung the framed chalkboard that I managed making a trade with another supplier back in September when I did a classic market. I also recently found the pegged shelves for a steal and added a few of my ironstone plates. I might add cups to the left side too; it's a proportion thing with me.

The space is a combination of new, old, handcrafted, re-purposed and thrift shop and estate sale discovers. The chandelier was painted a few years ago, and I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it or change it. Hence the reason I haven't rewired it to hang lower. We have high vaulted ceilings, so it's up quite high because I swagged it.

The carpet is from Pottery Barn this past year, and the table we've had for about ten years or more. The buffet was a light wood colour and was the very first piece of bedroom furniture I bought as a single girl numerous years back. I cut the legs down and painted it when I relocated it to serve as the buffet.

I made or reupholstered/painted a couple of products in this space myself, including the drapes, the upholstered bench and pillow, the wreath and the reupholstered antique chair in the corner which you can check out here.

All the ironstone was either discovered at estate sales or thrift stores. The last thing on our list for this room aside from the light component are putting up brand-new baseboards because we pulled all of them out to change our floors a couple of months back and haven't gotten around to that job yet. Last but not least, those beautiful spring flowers were a gift from the husband a few days ago. He's a sweetie and said they were "simply because" and he desired me to know that he enjoyed me, how sweet is that?
